The Return of Navajo Boy is an internationally acclaimed and award-winning film that tells the story of a Navajo family’s involvement with Hollywood, uranium mining, tourism and a long lost baby brother named John Wayne.

The impact of this intimate family story with its epilogue and web series demonstrates how documentary filmmaking exposes injustices and helps change public policies.

In April 2014, the Navajo Nation won the largest environmental settlement in Native American history, $1,000,000,000 (that’s billion) from Kerr-McGee, the corporate contaminator exposed by The Return of Navajo Boy.
